Must be CLASS reliable.Ī minimum of three years of experience as a supervisor or a coach in a Head Start Program. Must have sufficient knowledge in the areas of child development, nutrition, health, special services, social services and management to perform work assigned. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Executive Director.Ī Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field, with a minimum of six (6) college credit hours in business management is required. Must attend all trainings deemed necessary by the Executive Director to comply with TDFPS Child Care Minimum Standards and Performance Standards during the summer months. Monitors centers assigned by Executive Director on a Biweekly basis.Ĭonduct training on Education Department forms or procedures when needed by any classroom staff. Serves as a CDA Advisor for candidates in the CDA program.Īttends training workshops as assigned by the Assistant Program Director for Programmatic Services.Īdheres to and maintains the obligations as described in the Confidentiality Policy of the Program.Ĭonducts training on LAP-D (Learning Accomplishment Profile-Diagnostic) to all new staff and any staff that need refresher training. Provides training workshops for parents during parent meetings, Parent Conference and as the need arises.Įvaluates classroom environment/material and submits request for material accordingly.Īttends and participates in staffing as required. Plans, coordinates and conducts the Child Development Associate Credential Program for the Agency. On occasion will interview applicants for teachers, assistant teachers, custodians and bus aides/classroom aides. Responsible for ensuring that staff/child ratio is maintained in every classroom.Īssists the Education Area Director in planning, coordinating and conducting an annual staff development program for staff, parents and volunteers.Īssists the Education Area Director with the revision of the Early Childhood Development and Health Services Content Area Program Plan and Procedures Manual.Īssists the Education Area Director in coordinating with community agencies other resources and educational services.Īssists the Education Area Director in developing and implementing parental involvement activities, and implementing a plan for parent/teacher conferences.Īssists the Education Area Director in completing all mandated program evaluation reports.Īssists the Education Area Director in submitting license application/documentation to the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.Īssists the Education Area Director in assuring uniformity in the implementation of program procedures at the center level. Provides leadership, support and technical assistance to the Center Manager and teaching staff in the design and implementation of the Early Childhood Development and Health Services Content Area.Įnsures that the program adheres to the Head Start Performance Standards and to the TDFPS Day Care Licensing Minimum Standards. The Education Services Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to provide leadership and support in the provision of educational services to children enrolled in Head Start in accordance with Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers, Head Start Performance Standards, the School Readiness Plan and the Program’s Policies and Procedures. ![]()
